Mnet’s 2011 MAMA to be held in Singapore?



The 2010 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) was held overseas for the first time in its history at the Cotai Arena, Venetian Hotel in Macau. Now, there’s rumors that the 2011 Show will be in Singapore!

The rumor stems from an excerpt in a Singapore newspaper stating that 2011 MAMA will be staged at the Indoor Stadium in Singapore on November 29th. Asides from the top K-pop stars, the excerpt also states that you should expect performances and presentations from Taiwanese, Japanese, Singaporean acts along with Korean drama artists.

Jay Park donates $21,000 worth of goods to the disabled



KOSAD (Korea Sports Association for the Disabled) president Seok Yong Yoon opened a special event on August 29th to celebrate the upcoming 2012 London paralympics which will be held in 365 days.

Singer Jay Park was appointed as honorary ambassador for KOSAD in 2010 and acts like a trusted big brother to many of the disabled youths. It’s been reported that he donated supportive supplies and food which valued around $21,000 for the paralympic athletes, and also sent a supportive video message at the event.

It’s good to see Jay Park helping out those in need. The following footage is from August of 2010, when he was first appointed honorary ambassador for KOSAD:

Taecyeon’s handsome college photos for Dankook University revealed



2PM member Ok Taecyeon’s college photos were recently revealed.

On August 29th, the photos were released through an online community board while he was in the middle of participating in a shoot for Dankook University as a campaign model.

In the photos, Taecyeon smiled while making a pose with the peace sign and his handsome charms can be seen. On the set, he was said to have a friendly conversation with everyone and looked like a real natural university student.

Some netizens stated, “Yay… so good looking”, “I bet many women want to go that school now”, “Obviously, celebrities are on another level” and “I prefer his pure appearance here“.

JYJ gets appointed as Goodwill Ambassador for UNAIDS + will perform in Daegu Athletics Competition




Day by day, JYJ’s international activities as Korean representatives are attracting much attention.

On August 26th, ‘The 10th International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific‘ was held at Busan’s BEXCO, and JYJ held a celebration concert for their appointment as goodwill ambassadors for UN’s affiliated organization, UNAIDS, in the Asia-Pacific region.

A group of 4,000 from more than 70 countries attended the event, and listened as JYJ delivered the message to strengthen efforts in AIDS prevention and awareness. Members Jaejoong and Yoochun stated, “AIDS is becoming a big issue internationally, and we are trying to do activities for its prevention and awareness.“ Junsu continued, “Even though AIDS is a fatal disease, you can live longer through steady treatment. However, since there is no perfect treatment, we need care and effort.”

Meanwhile, on September 4th, JYJ will appear as Hallyu stars and sing for the closing ceremony of the ‘2011 Daegu World Athletics Championships‘.

The ‘2011 Daegu World Athletics Championships’ was organized by the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAFF), which drew over 2,000 of the world’s athletes to the city of Daegu. JYJ will celebrate the successful conclusion of the 9-day competition with a charismatic performance that’s sure to entrance worldwide fans.

JYJ’s agency, C-JeS Entertainment, stated, “JYJ’s potential continues to grow as JYJ performs at worldwide concerts and showcases. Love calls for JYJ to attend these global events are never-ending.”
